oh how i long for a time to come again where real pop stars who wrote their own music could still get in the pop charts and be in mainstream media; #Morrissey #George Michael
This is so perfect, heaven knows if a discussion or debate like this were even on tv now it would be panelled by guests with names such as ‘Tiney Dildo, Biggie Fattzz, Ca$ha, and some soon to be forgotten X idol from the latest repackaged version of a Tv talent show remarkably similar to all the other Tv talent shows.
This Charming Man was number 8 in the UK charts in 1987, the singer wrote the words, the guitarist wrote the music. Im so afraid to think whats in the charts now, and just how many people were on the comity that wrote these terrifying songs. KeSha was just in the pop news for being exposed after claiming she wrote the lyrics to her song ‘Die Young’ and then after the latest school shooting, she claimed someone else wrote the lyrics and she was forced to sing them. Oh the humanity…
maybe she was forced to sing all of the other hits she claims to have been a writer on, maybe everything about her was designed by a comity of old fat guys. If I were her I’d feel just horrible about every song she has ever released.
its all been a terrible terrible misunderstanding..
Well at least we can all enjoy Morrissey and George Michael discussing Everything but the Girl’s first album. all three of these artists will be remembered for a long time to come, and fortunately most of the acts in the the pop charts now we wont remember in a few years time; praise the lord for small mercies!
PS. My favorite songs of the week:
Firecracker – Ryan Adams
Do I Love You (Indeed I Do) – Frank Wilson
Two Fingers – Jake Bugg
